- Invitation to the Sixth Annual Ball of Lafayette Fire Company No. 4 at Firemen's Hall on Thursday, January 5, 1854. The invitation contains the motto, "At danger's call we're prompt to fly, and bravely do, or bravely die." at the top, as well as an illustration of an early fire apparatus, a list of honorary members, and a list of members of the company. The invitation is mounted on another piece of paper, with faint sets of numbers handwritten on the verso in pencil, with the name, "R.S. Stuart."

- Program booklet for the Third Annual Fireman's Ball held by the Association of Ex-Members Detroit Steam Fire Department at the Light Guard Armory on Monday, April 11, 1898. The booklet consists of a half-folded sheet bound between two separate pieces of cardstock with pink string. An illustration of a firefighter waving his arm in front of a burning building, surrounded by a border made of firefighting equipment is on the front. The program of dances to be performed as well as the list of floor manager are contained within. The program was printed by Hunter and Scheuren at 178 Brush Street.

- Program booklet for the Second Annual Fireman's Ball held by the Association of Ex-Members Detroit Steam Fire Department at the Light Guard Armory on Tuesday, January 12, 1897. The booklet consists of a half-folded sheet bound with white string ending in a yellow tassel into a half-folded cover with a red illustration of a horse-drawn fire engine against a white and blue background on the front. The program of dances to be performed to the music of Schremser's Orchestra, as well as the list of committee members are contained within. The program was printed by Hunter and Schenren at 178 Brush Street.

- Mounted invitation to James W. Witherell to a Ball by the Officers at the Post of Detroit on the evening of the 11th inst. A printed list of names follow, "R. A. Zantzinger, C. Mellon, H. Stanton, J. Farley." The invitation is dated March 4th, 1823. On the right side there are two wax seals and and a handwritten note which reads, "Invitation to attend a Ball at the Center next Tuesday 11th March 1823, shall not attend, to be ofenced[?] 1824, March 4th."
