The certificate (No. 2144748) was issued to Alfred Diplock of 3576 Gladwin Ave., Detroit, Michigan, on December 8, 1924, and has a gold embossed seal in the lower left corner. It is printed in black text on yellowed paper and is bound on the left edge inside a tri-fold leather wallet that has a double snap closure. The outside of the wallet is stamped in gold-colored text "Certificate of Citizenship, United States of America."
