The construction site where the Cadillac Hotel was demolished to make way for the Book-Cadillac Hotel is visible on the northeast corner. Beside it are the Detroit Edison Company office, and the Washington Boulevard Building along the east side of Washington. Alexander Macomb Monument stands in the median of Washington.
