- The Wurzburg Department Store exhibit at the annual Home Show features the GE products they carried: three refrigerators, one with a separate freezer door; a stove; the insides of a dishwasher so one could see how it works; a clothes washer with the motor on display with a see-through agitator on top, so one could see how it works; a mangle iron press; three televisions, one a table top, another a small console, and the third in a larger console along with a radio and record player. A sign announces that "Television is coming to Grand Rapids in 1949. WLAV will bring Grand Rapids the world's greatest features including drama, comedy, sports, variety, and news from the nation's talent capitols." In the view is an exhibit next it of Chic's Paints & Supplies at 1956 S. Division, featuring "Berryflat" paint, "improved oil-based flat finish."

- Steps leading to a show room between the north and south buildings on the 5th floor at Herpolsheimers, 101-109 Monroe NW. In the corridor in front of the steps are a couch, chair, side table and floor lamp. A large sign stating February Furniture Sale hangs above the stairs. The display room shows various pieces of bedroom furniture. Large, overhead lamps hang from the ceiling.

Beyond are signs for Morrissey's Factory Outlet shoes at 406 and Capitol Fur at 408. To the east, across South Washington Avenue is Arbaugh's department store at 401-423.
