- One plan sheet entitled, "Rudder for F.& P.M. [Flint & Pere Marquette] No. 1." The drawing consists of black and red ink on linen and shows details of the rudder assembly for the proposed wooden-hulled, propeller-driven, passenger steamship. The plan (number A-3-105) was prepared at a scale of 3/4 inch = 1 foot by the Detroit Dry Dock Company and is dated March, 1885. (Steamer number 59 was the Detroit Dry Dock hull number for the passenger steamship that was known as F.& P.M. No. 1.)

- One sepia-toned photograph of the passenger ferry, SS Columbia, under tow after its launch at the Detroit Dry Dock Company. The view shows a port side view of the hull which is being towed away from the dock. The main deck is visible along with several structural columns to be used for completion of the upper decks and cabin structures. A flag with the name, "Columbia," can be seen at the bow of the ship. Docks are visible in the foreground and shorelines can be seen in the background.

- One blueprint drawing entitled "Cross-Sections, Str. No. 71." The drawing shows a cross-section view of the hull and decks of the proposed steamship, City of Cleveland. The title block at the lower right corner of the sheet shows that the plan was prepared by the Detroit Dry Dock Company at a scale of 1/2 inch = 1 foot and is dated March, 1885. (The ship was later renamed. It was the SS City of St. Ignace from 1907 to 1927 and was the SS Keystone from 1927 to 1932.)

- Description:
- One sepia-toned photograph of the sidewheel passenger steamship, SS Seeandbee, being launched sideways at the Detroit Dry Dock Company. The photo shows a starboard side stern view of the hull as it slides off the ways and creates a large splash of water along the starboard side. Carpentry work for main deck cabin areas has been roughed in, but the upper decks and cabin structures have not yet been started. Many workmen are standing along the taffrail of the ship and a large crowd of onlookers can be seen on the dock in the foreground. A gantry crane trestle is visible in the background area of the shipyard. Also, a tugboat is standing by just beyond the bow of the newly-launched ship. Handwritten pencil text on the verso shows "Seeandbee launch Nov. 9, 1912."

- One copy of a drawing of the "Steam Railroad Ferry for Mackinaw and Point St. Ignace." This copy is a negative image of the original drawing with line work shown in white on a dark gray background. The copy shows profile and plan views of the railroad ferry that was later named, SS Algomah (Algoma). The plan was drawn at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot by the Detroit Dry Dock Company.
