Containing 66 acres. Name of John Richardson mentioned. Two red-wax, impressed seals (design not visible), each stamped on tags., Inscription in upper left, in a different hand, possibly contemporary: “15/18 [?] | Mr and Mrs Raymond | to | Mrs Collard} Release”., and Written in England, county of Essex and dated 25 August 2 James II. Signed and delievered in the presence of the clerk Nicholas Wright, Thomas Lake, and John Windfrey. The probate, dated 1634, in Latin, attached as an additional sheet and signed by notary Williams Whetston., Written in a light English secretary script. The additional sheet written in a hurried secretary script in darker ink. Inscriptions in a near-contemporary hand on lower middle portion of dorse: “30 Dec 1625 Richard Leaks Will Essex___5”; followed by “Essex | II” in pencil., and Written in Essex, England, and dated 30 December 1 Charles I (1626) and 1634. - Eight sheets joined by parchment tie in upper left corner., Eight parchment court rolls, folded, relating to West Hanningfield, Essex, all of which are contemporary with one another and are joined together by a single parchment tie. Extensive damage to the membranes of several rolls with significant loss of text., Written in English secretary script, likely all by the same hand. Ink bleeding through the parchment. Item 1 is written in slightly larger and darker hand with opening words in bastard anglicana., and Written in England, probably in West Hanningfield between 1603 and 1611 (each document has a different date).
