- One blueprint copy of a map entitled "Detroit - Prior to the Fire of June 11, 1805." The map shows the layout of the town and fort as of June, 1805, including the names and locations of property owners at that time as well as lot numbers, lot dimensions, street names, and right-of way widths. The map area extends from Griswold Street on the east, to the Detroit River on the south, to Cass Street on the west, and to Lafayette Avenue on the north. The map also shows the extent of filling which occurred along the shoreline from 1805 up 1889. The title block in the lower left corner indicates that the map was "prepared by C. M. Burton, Wayne County Abstract Office, from Official Records." The drawing was done by "R. J. Mackey, Draughtsman," at a scale of 1 inch = 60 feet and is dated 1889.

A cross-section detail is shown in the upper left corner and an elevation detail is shown in the upper right corner. Handwritten text near the center top edge shows "This is the Plan of the Demilune Salient 15" Gun Platform according to drawings last sent from Engineer Department, August 28th 1867, and the platform will be constructed accordingly. T. J. Cram, Bvt. Maj. Gen'l."

This drawing is a blackline reproduction of the original and it shows an overall site plan of the fort property including property lines, ground contour lines, the layout of the fort, barracks, officer's quarters, various other buildings, and streets. Bearings and distances are also given along the fort property lines. A bar scale (1 inch = 100 feet) is shown in the upper left corner of the sheet along with a symbol legend. A brief history of establishment of the fort is shown under "Legend" in the lower right corner. Small handwritten text near the lower right edge shows "See Special Map for City and Post Telephone and Telegraph Lines" as well as "Drawn by C. M. Stone" and the year, "1907." Small handwritten text in the lower left corner indicates the dates of plan corrections/revisions.

- One map entitled "The Town and Fortifications of Detroit AD 1796, City of Detroit AD 1845." In black ink on linen, the map shows the layout of the town and fort as of 1796 including the names and locations of property owners at that time. Several areas have been tinted light blue. The map also shows the layout of the downtown area as of 1845 which has been superimposed faintly in red ink. The superimposed area extends from Woodward Avenue on the east, to the Detroit River on the south, to Cass Street on the west, and to Lafayette Street on the north. The map appears to be drawn at a scale of approximately 1 inch = 100 feet and helps to show the location relationship between the old and new cities.

The drawing consists of black and red ink on linen and shows plan and cross-section views of one of the demi-lune gun batteries at the fort. The configuration of the gun platform area is shown as well as contour lines which indicate the elevation and grading for the ground slopes in the vicinity of the gun platforms. Handwritten text beneath the title shows "Engineer Department, Washington, July 21, 1866, Sent to Col. Cram at Detroit with letter of this date. Rich'd Delafield, Bvt. Maj. This drawing is a blackline reproduction of the original and it shows an overall site plan of the fort property including property lines, the layout of the fort, barracks, officer's quarters, various other buildings, and streets. A bar scale is shown near the center lower edge of the sheet along with a note that reads "Scale 60 feet to 1 inch." Various handwritten notes along the lower edge indicate the dates when copies of the plan and accompanying letters were sent by post officers to the Quarter Master General Office. Officer's names noted include: Col. T. [Thomas] J. Cram, Major G. Weitzel, and Major W. M. McFarland.
