Printed on verso: Light House, Palmer Park, built on land donated to the city by Ex-Senator Thomas W. Palmer in 1893, and is situated north of the city at the extreme terminal of the Woodward-Ave. car line, is one of the city's favorite breathing spots. Its centre piece is a log cabin which is an exact reproduction of the home in which Senator Palmer resided when Detroit was little more than a trading post. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Jan 13, 1910.

Men and women are gathered along the avenue, creating a narrow central aisle, where blurred bicyclists are visible. - Mounted, sepia-toned photographic print depicting Riverfront Park at the foot of West Grand Boulevard. A tree-lined oval-shaped island is situated in the center of a driveway. Beyond, a railroad crossing with several raised gates and an elevated flagman's booth can be seen. A two-tiered pavilion is in the background at the waterfront. An embossed seal at the photo's lower left corner reads, "City Photographer" inside of a circle with saw tooth edges. Photo is mounted on beige cardstock.
