- John C. Hoekje, dean, and Leonard Meretta, faculty, at Michigan College of Education, designing a show formation for the Western Marching Band. Meretta was a professor emeritus of music and the founder of the Western Michigan University bands program at WMU in 1945. John C. Hoekje was a professor of education and psychology. He also served as registrar, dean of admissions and director of extension during his 1916-to-1955 tenure at the University.

- Three faculty members, Helen Brown, Margaret Large, and Marcella Faustman, dressed as court jesters. Brown began at Western in 1947 in Women's Physical Education and retired from the Dance Department in 1981. Large began in Women's Physical Education in 1949 and retired in 1979. Faustman began in the Music Department in 1951 and retired in 1977.

- H. Glenn Henderson, faculty in the School of Music from 1913-1956, receives congratulations from Dr. Elwyn Carter at a music banquet. Photo appeared in the Western Michigan Colleges News Magazine, Winter 1956. Mrs. Henderson is on the far left and Mrs. Harper Maybee is on the far right. Carter headed the School of Music from 1945 to 1965 and retired in 1979.

- Group photograph of retiring Western Michigan College faculty. Seated: James Knauss, H. Glen Henderson. Standing: John Plough, Wynand Wichers, and William Brown. James Knauss was a professory of history since 1929. H. Glen Henderson was the associate professor of music since 1913. John H. Plough was the assistant professor of Industrial Arts since 1941. Wynand Wichers was the vice-presendent since 1945. William Brown as a professor of english since 1917.
