- Sepia-toned photographic print depicting buildings and storefronts along Woodward Avenue. The camera was positioned just north of John R on the east side of Woodward, facing southwest. The Annis Fur Building, housing the Milton Corset Shop; Alex J. DeSaulier, a sewing professional; Stahl's Boot Shop; Albert W. Kludt, optician; the W.L. Douglas Shoe Company; the Ballantine Company Tailors; and Weyhing Brothers Manufacturing Company Jewelry, is on the northwest corner of Woodward and Clifford Street. To the south are the Woodward-Clifford Building, housing an S.S. Kresge Company Five and Ten Cent Store, and Kartsek's Cafeteria; the F.W. Woolworth Company Five and Ten Cent Store; Taylor's; Golden's; the Traugott Schmidt Building; a drug store; Central Lunch; George Yost, Furrier; and Fields Dresses. Pedestrians and automobiles are in the streets, traveling through the snow. The image is surrounded by a thick black border. "Woodward Ave & Clifford, 1916, Woolworth-Kresge Southwest corner, Douglas-Annis northwest corner" printed on verso along with "neg av."

- Black and white photographic print depicting several buildings along the north side of Cadillac Square, as well as the Wayne County Building in the distance. Taken near Bates Street on the opposite end of Cadillac Square, facing northeast. The Burns Motel, a cafe, the Garland, Schroeder Paint and Glass Company, and Hotel Wobrock are along the businesses along Cadillac Square. Pedestrians, several brass-era automobiles, and electric streetcars are in the street. The photo appears to have been produced from an earlier photo as its rough edges are in frame. "37 North side Cadillac Square second block from Woodward looking east April 29,1910" handwritten on verso. "Burton Historical Collection, Glass Negative 2766" on verso.

- Black and white photo taken looking south on Woodward Avenue in Highland Park. Otto's Confectionary stands on the east side of the street. Walker and Company advertisements for Peter Otto, Contractor and Detroit Creamery Milk are painted on the side of the building. To the south of Otto's is a cloth tent supported by several posts, painted with, "The Scenic Cream Parlor 4046, Cream, Sandwiches, Cigars, Hot Drinks." Cars pass along Woodward and streetcar tracks run along the west side of the street. The smoke stacks and water tower of the Ford Highland Park Plant's power house are visible in the distance along Woodward. "Oct-2-16," is printed in the lower left corner. "Smith Brothers, Commercial Photographers, Arcadia Bldg - Woodward & Stimson, Detroit, Michigan," is stamped, and "October 2, 1916, Woodward Avenue looking south in Highland Park," is typewritten on a label tapped to the verso.

Pedestrians are visible on the sidewalk and in the avenue, and a man sweeps in the street. Horse carriages are also visible. Many businesses are adjacent to Woodward Avenue including Farrells Furs, Chas. Trickery Grocery, O'Neill Hoffner Washington Market, La Childs Restaurant, and in the distance is the Elliott Taylor Woolfenden Company. Written on the verso: "Woodward, west side from Columbia, to Montcalm looking North, May 1910."

The Crystal Shoppe in the Park Building, the Ross Fur Company, a Second Empire-style building with only a sign reading, "Must Move, 30% Off on all Wallpaper," and the corner of the Fine Arts Building are all pictured. The visible portion of the Fine Arts Building includes signs for the Adams Theatre, Dr. Hubbell, Dr. White, Dr. Ranny, Dr, Parker, and Dr. W.C. Reid the dentist. The marquee of the Adam's Theatre advertises the Constance Talmadge film Dangerous Business. A row of automobiles are parked along Adams street and a man is working under the hood of the central one. Across Jefferson, on the west side of Woodward is a four story building occupied by A.C. McGraw and Company, Wholesale and Retail Boots and Shoes. Along the east side of Woodward, signs are posted for Aetna Insurance, a wholesale hat, cap, and fur store, another shoe store, a crockery store, D.B. Nichols and Company, and a carpet store. Faint impressions of several pedestrians who moved through the frame during the exposure are visible.
