- Mould-blown “waster”. Rim folding in and down. Tall cylindrical neck broadens into lobes at base. Body of vase meant to be globular with maximum diameter at shoulder. This appears on one side. Other side is broken and was patched somewhat with glass fragments. Incrustation all over this cave in area. Vestiges of mould blown monkeys (2) on opposite sides of vessel. Their heads survive, but rest of bodies didn’t come out in mould. Mould obviously slipped vertically as indicated by off-set base. Base has two levels, about four cm apart, and was supposed to be flat lozenge shape. Pontil mark. Incrustation on exterior, one side. Frosty and bubbly throughout.
