- A sign for the Lansing Centennial on in front of the state capitol building. The sign notes the parade (Centennial of Transportation) on May 23, 1959, and a "Huge Trade Fair" from May 23 to 31. Two copies. Originally part of the Carl Dalrymple Collection.

- Note on back of photo: "A log cabin, symbol of a by gone day, stood on the site where the Federal Building stood during the first half of the century. The newly constructed City Hall and police wing served as a backdrop for the Centennial events. The razing of the old City Hall progressed during the celebrations. The 40&8 'Train' was entering the picture from the right." This may have been part of the Lansing Centennial of Transportation parade in May 1959 or another of the city's centennial parades that happened that year. This photograph is dated 1958, but most Lansing city centennial activities took place in 1959. A 15-category beard and moustache contest was part of the festivities.
