- Description:
- Novo Engine Company was established in the 1880s in the Cady and Glassbrook machine shops on Race Street in North Lansing. The firm later changed to Cady and Hildreth, and then became Novo Engine. The first proper gasoline engine, a two-cylinder meant for boats, was produced in 1891. Novo production ended in 1953. Eighteen views.

- Located at 114 North Grand Avenue. Photo shows red flames roaring in the night outlining the Hotel Kerns fire of December 11, 1934, in which at least thirty-four people were known dead. Here a section of the front wall buckles as firemen at the lower right back away.

- An iron bridge near Waverly Park, showing a man on a high ladder about to dive into the river and several spectators on the bridge. It may have been the famous high diver "McMahon" who conducted twice-daily shows at the park in 1905. Donated by H. Standish.

- Board of Water and Light's Ottawa Street power plant, located along the Grand River. It was built in 1940 and is characterized by exterior brick colors that go from dark to light, bottom to top of the building. The view is from the Michigan Avenue bridge.
