- One blueprint drawing entitled "Plan of Main Saloon - Promenade Deck, Str. City of Cleveland, No. 71." The drawing shows a plan view of the interior layout of the Promenade deck for the proposed steamship. The title block at the top center area of the sheet shows that the plan was prepared by the Detroit Dry Dock Company at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot and is dated August, 1885. (The ship was later renamed. It was the SS City of St. Ignace from 1907 to 1927 and was the SS Keystone from 1927 to 1932.)

- One plan sheet entitled "Massachusetts & Merrimac, Construction Draft of Steamers No. 54/55." The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows interior plan and profile views for the proposed wooden-hulled, propeller-driven, bulk carrier steamships. The drawing indicates that the vessels also had three masts. The plan was prepared at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot by Frank E. Kirby for the Detroit Dry Dock Company.

- One sepia-toned photograph of the passenger ferry, SS Columbia, under tow after its launch at the Detroit Dry Dock Company. The view shows a port side view of the hull which is being towed away from the dock. The main deck is visible along with several structural columns to be used for completion of the upper decks and cabin structures. A flag with the name, "Columbia," can be seen at the bow of the ship. Docks are visible in the foreground and shorelines can be seen in the background.

- Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the starboard side of the Port Huron and Duluth Steamship Company steamer LAKEPORT, under steam along a frozen waterway. Figures are visible on board at the bow, outside the pilot house, and outside the aft cabin. Several buildings along a tree-lined shoreline are in the background. The image is captioned with the date, 1914. The non-archival envelope which previously housed the plate included the following hand-written details: 3140 - BOSTON blt 1880 Wyandotte 1294 gr., 643 n, 240' x 36.4' x15.6 still in register 1938 in gravel trade Buffalo, N.Y. 2742

- One sepia-toned photograph of the passenger ferry, SS Columbia, in dry dock at the Detroit Dry Dock Company. The view shows a starboard side stern view of the hull. Many workmen are standing on the deck and several structural columns have been set in place for future completion of the upper decks and cabin structures. A large rudder and 4-blade propeller can be seen below the waterline to the left. A trestle and gantry crane are visible in the background area of the shipyard. A dock and open water are visible in the foreground.

- One copy of a drawing of the "Steam Railroad Ferry for Mackinaw and Point St. Ignace." This copy is a negative image of the original drawing with line work shown in white on a dark gray background. The copy shows profile and plan views of the railroad ferry that was later named, SS Algomah (Algoma). The plan was drawn at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot by the Detroit Dry Dock Company.

The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows details of the rudder assembly for the proposed wooden-hulled, propeller-driven, passenger steamships. The plan (number A-3-106-107) was prepared at a scale of 3/4 inch = 1 foot by the Detroit Dry Dock Company and is dated March, 1882. (Steamer numbers 59 and 60 were the Detroit Dry Dock hull numbers for the passenger steamships that were known as F.&P.M. No. 1 and F.&P.M. No. 2, respectively.)
