- This Desk, in the collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, consists of a chrome-plated metal frame with a "H-Leg" and footrest. The top is Masonite while the covering is orange vinyl. The front of the desk contains two drawers with black metal pulls. on the sinister side are red, blue, black, and yellow micarta panels. Orange vinyl was not in the Herman Miller catalog as a regular option nor was color combinations of the panels. This suggests the the object may have been a special customer order. - This Zenaloy rocking chair, in the collection of the Newark Museum, consists of thermosetting resin reinforced with molded fiberglass arm shell on a zinc plated metal wire base. The chair is padded and covered with neutral grey and green naugahyde upholstery with off-white vinyl edging and sits on birch rockers. This version with neutral applied shell color produced only in 1954.
According to the 1965 Herman Miller Trade Catalogue, the light weight rocker is ideal for reading, relaxing, and use by the young mother.
