- In a program entitled "Your governor'" Michigan Governor G. Mennen "Soapy" Williams argues for an appropriation from the state's General Fund and a tax on corporations to fund road building and maintenance across the state. Williams laments the terrible condition of Michigan roads and says that a proposed gas tax hike would be too little too late and another terrible burden for the average consumer to bear.
