- Color postcard depicting the fountain in Clark Park, which features winged horses at its base. Printed on verso: Fountain at Clark's Park, Detroit, Mich. Clark's Park is situated on Clark, Scotten and Dix Avenues. Half of it was donated by John P. Clark in 1890 and the balance purchased by the city. It comprises 23 acres and it one of the many beautiful parks in the city. Band concerts are given at regular intervals during the summer season. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Apr, 1914.

The fountain on the eastern side of the park is in the foreground. Two children are visible near the edge of the fountain. The photos are mounted on an orange card with "Detroit, Mich." and "J.A. The driver holds a riding crop, while a man near the rear of the carriage blows a long horn. A team of four horses pull the carriage. A fountain and several other people are visible among the trees in the background. "Detroit, August 23rd, 1897, For Miss Sarah Russel, Compliments of Cornelius A. Pugsley and Bradfrod Rhodes." handwritten in script on matting. "Grand Circus Park, Four-in-hand coach of 1897 circles Grand Circus Park with its stylish passengers (notice the man with the horn)" handwritten on verso. "O.M. Hayes & Co. - Color postcard depicting the Detroit Opera House at Campus Martius, with the Merrill Fountain in the foreground. Signs read "Pennsylvania Lines", "Union Ticket Office", "Wright, Kay & Co.", and "Temple Theatre, Wonderland, Vaudeville". Printed on verso: Detroit Opera House and Palmer Fountain. - This beautiful fountain was donated to the city by Mrs. Thos. W. Palmer several years ago. It is located on the Campus Martius which was reserved as a breathing spot in the "Governor and Judges" plan, adopted for the city in its earliest history. The Opera House is one of the finest in the country and caters to high class shows only. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Apr 10, 1910.
