- Color postcard depicting a view down Jefferson Avenue from the intersection of 3rd Street, with the Wayne Hotel, pedestrians, horse-drawn vehicles, and a sign reading "Wines and Spirits" visible. Printed on verso: Wayne Hotel, Detroit, Mich. Looking East on Jefferson, showing The Wayne Hotel is one of the favorite hotels in the city. Located on Jefferson Avenue, Cor. 3rd, directly across from the Michigan Central Depot. It is on the River Bank and from its windows a fine view of the river traffic is possible in the season. In the summer time, a pavilion, built out to the water's edge, adds to the attractions of the hostelry, which has been for the past twenty years, under the management of J. R. Hayes. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked May 11, 1914.

The front page features an etching of Jefferson Avenue captioned "Central View in Jefferson Avenue, Detroit, Michigan." The etching features a view of Jefferson Avenue with many people and horse-drawn carriages in the foreground and a view of the river in the background.

- One sheet, containing pages 361 and 362, from the July 27, 1878 supplement to Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper. The sheet contains an article, "The City of the Straits: Rambles About a Thrifty Western Metropolis," containing information about the City of Detroit, including features about the May-Flower Tobacco Works, Pingree & Smith, Walker, McGraw & Co., and D.M. Ferry & Co. Also featured, on page 362, are several etchings of various Detroit scenes, including Jefferson Avenue, The Opera House, a street drinking fountain, and the Perry cannon in front of the city hall. Other etchings, on page 361, include an etching of the steamer "'Far West' patrolling the Tongue River in search of hostile Indians," the Colonel Edward Richardson, and P.T. Barnum's special advertising coach.

- Stereoscopic card of casket and cooling table containing Theodore Campau. Casket is decorated with flowers and an arrangement that says "To My Husband". "Photographic Sketches in and about the City of Detroit Consisting of Street and Marine Views, Public Buildings, Churches, Monumental, and Other Objects of Interest" is printed on a sticker on the verso. "More Campau Lore. Son of Joseph Campau, Theodore Campau. Portrait on right wall is Nora, his wife, in their Jefferson Avenue home, Detroit" is handwritten on the verso. Portrait on left is Adelaide Campau (DeQuindre), his mother.

A series of men are walking toward the commercial buildings, across the tracks in the right foreground of the image. Business neighboring Woodward include I.D. Jackson Photographer, B.J. Sturn, S. K. Taft and Company, Avenue Theatre, and Van Leyen and Hensler Engraving and Printing.
