- Color postcard depicting a view down Jefferson Avenue from the intersection of 3rd Street, with the Wayne Hotel, pedestrians, horse-drawn vehicles, and a sign reading "Wines and Spirits" visible. Printed on verso: Wayne Hotel, Detroit, Mich. Looking East on Jefferson, showing The Wayne Hotel is one of the favorite hotels in the city. Located on Jefferson Avenue, Cor. 3rd, directly across from the Michigan Central Depot. It is on the River Bank and from its windows a fine view of the river traffic is possible in the season. In the summer time, a pavilion, built out to the water's edge, adds to the attractions of the hostelry, which has been for the past twenty years, under the management of J. R. Hayes. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked May 11, 1914.

- Print. Sepia-toned photographic print taken from the southwest corner of Woodward Avenue and Jefferson Avenue, facing northwest. A horse and cart are inside the intersection at the lower right. Across Jefferson, on the west side of Woodward is a four story building occupied by A.C. McGraw and Company, Wholesale and Retail Boots and Shoes. Along the east side of Woodward, signs are posted for Aetna Insurance, a wholesale hat, cap, and fur store, another shoe store, a crockery store, D.B. Nichols and Company, and a carpet store. Faint impressions of several pedestrians who moved through the frame during the exposure are visible.

- Mounted enlargement of a black and white print depicting a north-facing view from the intersection of Griswold Street and Jefferson Avenue (as indicated on verso) in 1837, taken from page 457 of Silas Farmer's History of Detroit and Wayne County and Early Michigan. A horse-drawn wagon, pedestrians, and dogs are in the streets. Several storefronts have been given legible signs: "F. and C.H. Buhl," " McCormick and Moon, Hats and Caps," St. Paul's Episcopal Church, First Presbyterian Church, and Ste. Anne's Catholic Church are all visible in the background. "Copyright 1883 by Silas Farmer" printed in lower left corner. An illegible signature, presumably that of the artist William A. Raymond, is printed at the lower right. Image is mounted on heavy green cardstock.

- John Greenslade Oils invoice for 10 gallons of cylinder oil sold to G.A. Dupuis on June 9, 1886. The invoice is printed with an engraving of the company's building at 38 and 40 Jefferson Avenue, as well as an ornate header incorporating a cask of oil in a doorway, a scroll, and several branches.

Further along Woodward, a sign advertising a tailor is visible. Streetcars, horse carriages, pedestrians, and cyclists are in the street. In the distant background, a portion of a moonlight tower can be seen.

- Mounted, sepia-toned photographic print depicting the Smart Block on the southeast corner of Woodward Avenue and Jefferson Avenue, taken from an elevated position on the opposite corner. The storefronts along this corner include, Yates Clothing, the Boston Shoe Store, A. Amberg and Company, Campbell and Linn Dry Goods, and another clothing store. The structure to the right of Campbell and Linn appears to either have been partially demolished or be under construction. The Franklin House and a pair of church steeples of St. Anne's Church are in the background. It is printed on art paper and is framed in an off-white cardstock frame. Handwritten note on verso of copy notes, "c.1855-57 ([Silas] Farmer says block torn down 1857," referring to the author of the 1884 book The History of Detroit and Michigan. Matting is yellowed cardstock. First copy is cropped closer at the left and bottom, but high at the top. Second copy is black and white.

- One architectural drawing entitled "Front Elevation." The drawing (Job 244) consists of red and black ink on vellum paper and shows a front elevation view and wall cross-section detail for a proposed 1-story office building for the Grosse Pointe Shores Realty Company. Some blue, green, and yellow pencil shading has been added on the verso to highlight various architectural details. This drawing, shown at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot, was part of a set of six sheets that were prepared by "J. Lawson Miller, Architect."
