- Color postcard depicting Water Works Park, with the tower, pumping station, drinking fountain, and people in view and water in the foreground. Printed on verso: Water Works Park & Lake. The 72-acre plot of ground on Jefferson Avenue, owned by the city and partially occupied by its water works pumping station, has been made one of Detroit's beauty spots. The water supply is pumped through a long tunnel from the intake pipe in Lake St. Clair to the distributing point. - Color postcard depicting a floral design in Grand Circus Park arranged to read "In Detroit Live is Worth Living", with buildings in the background and people seated on benches. Printed on verso: In Detroit Life Is Worth Living. - This Floral display is located in East Grand Circus Park, the oldest of Detroit's breathing grounds, and is situated in the center of the City's retail district. Magnificent shade trees are everywhere, real monarchs of forest that started to grow even before a white man set his foot on what is now the State of Michigan. The park was set aside in 1854 under the general redistricting of the City. In the foreground Detroit's slogan is brought out very prominently in beautifully colored foliage. - Black and white photo of a canoe parade on Belle Isle's Loop Canal on August 25. 1906, as shot from the bandstand bridge facing an adjacent bridge. Canoes crowd the canal. Most carry at least one passenger, and are outfitted with pivoting lanterns, and pillows. The seating along the banks of the canal is filled with spectators, many carrying umbrellas. Spectators also line the bridge in the background. "#767 Canoe Parade from Band Stand, Belle Isle, Aug 25, 1906," is handwritten on the verso.
