Bates and Edmonds Co. was founded in 1899 by Madison Bates and James Edmonds. Edmonds handled the financial aspects of the business. Bates had worked for P. F. Olds and Sons previously, and with them had helped to develop their gasoline internal combustion engine. Three views.
