U.S. President Barack Obama speaks at a campiagn fundraiser held in Harlem, New York
- Description:
- President Barack H. Obama speaks at a campaign fundraiser held at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York. He opens by paying tribute to entertainer Al Green by singing a line from the song "Let's stay together." Obama predicts that hard economic times will make his re-election difficult. He recounts a number of his accomplishments including the Affordable Health Care Act. Obama juxtaposes his policies and priorities with those of the Republicans and asks "where do we go from here?" He says that the country is in a race with the rest of the world for jobs and economic growth, but that we won't win by giving tax breaks to the wealthiest and expecting money to trickle down.
