Description:

Looking north. From a vantage point at 220 South Washington in front of Walgreen Drugs, seen are S. S. Kresge at 216, Barker's Shoe Store at 214, Carl's Shoe Store at 212, and Linn's Camera Shop at 210. Several blocks of the east side of South Washington are also seen. Highlights include Small's Mens Shop at 211, the Foo Ying Cafe on the upper level at 207 1/2 - 209 1/2, Daniel's Jewelry Co. at 205 and Bosch jewelers at 201. In the next block, the 100 block, the American Bank & Trust building is prominent. City Planning Division staff annotated and trimmed the photo. The basis for the annotation, "against the law?" is unknown.
