Karanis; Textiles; Wool

Notes:

Very deteriorated fragment of woven wool fabric with yellowed warp and bands of blue/grey weft alternating with bands of yellowed weft and twining. A row of green/blue and yellow twining is in the center with a row of red twining on either side. The twining loops pass over two warps each. There are very small remnants of linen slit tapestry and weft wrapping in the blue/grey bands.
