Rome; Lamps; Clay (unfired); Slip

Notes:

Coarse buff micaceous clay with traces of brown slip. Nozzle rounded at end and flanked by simple double volutes between which is channel ornamented by three stamped dots. Rim opposite nozzle ornamented by three grooves flanked by small stamped dot. No handle but grooved projection on either side with two stamped dots at base. Rim separated from discus by two circular grooves. On discus is molded shell pattern. Rather broad base ring set off by grooves within which are five stamped dots. Crudely made.
