President Obama presents the 2012 National Medal of Arts to 12 individuals and the National Humanities Medal to another 12 individuals, during a ceremony in the East Room of the White House. Obama comments on the work and accomplishments of several of the recipients saying "you never know who will be touched by it." An unidentified military aide reads the official citation for each recipient as Obama presents the medals.
