The map, printed in French, shows the Detroit River, the northern portion of Lake Erie, the southern portion of Lake St. Clair, and surrounding land. An inset at lower right shows the "Plan Du Fort Du Detroit," with roads and some buildings labeled. The shoreline along the Detroit River is colored in yellow, dark green, and red, and the buildings on the plan of Fort Detroit are colored in brown.
