These digital images were created from materials held by the Michigan State Capitol Commission. and Back: Lansing Feb 7th 1912 Dear Mother I intend to start home Sunday on the 12-40 train. There was a big fire in Lansing last eve, "Hotel Downey." We went and saw it burn 2 stories. It caught fire at the top story.
