Color photographic postcard a night-time view of the repurposed three-story Second Empire house at 4470 Second Avenue. Mannequins wearing dresses are displayed in the first floor window for a clothing store within. A passage about the former home's new usage is printed on the verso: 4470 Second. Situated on land owned by Lewis Cass, former Michigan Governor, and adjacent to the West Canfield Historic District, and bordering Wayne State University, this colorful Victorian Mansion, built in 1883, now houses shops, apartments and offices, and is part of the Renaissance Movement in Detroit. Also printed on the verso are publishing and printing information, "Pub. & © Allen Strass - Yout Qualified Photographer - Detroit, Mich.", and "Made by Dexter Press, Inc., West Nyack, New York."
