Centennial Log Cabin

Description:
Note on back of photo: "A log cabin, symbol of a by gone day, stood on the site where the Federal Building stood during the first half of the century. The newly constructed City Hall and police wing served as a backdrop for the Centennial events. The razing of the old City Hall progressed during the celebrations. The 40&8 'Train' was entering the picture from the right." This may have been part of the Lansing Centennial of Transportation parade in May 1959 or another of the city's centennial parades that happened that year. Originally part of the Carl Dalrymple Collection.
