Notes:

Case: pebbled leather with simple square design and push button clasp, oval mat, burgundy velvet pad.; Three quarter length portrait of seated woman, in ruffled band collar with ribbon, right elbow on adjacent table with hand up to her cheek. Ms. note in case: Aunt Geraldine Low.; Second daguerreotype is reversed image reproduced from the first, in identical case; ms. note beneath plate reads: Grandma Geraldine, died July 14th, 1850. Taken in 1847.
