Color postcard depicting an elevated view of Griswold Street, facing south from Capitol Park. In view are the Detroit Savings Bank Building and Ford Building. Signs read "Detroit United Bank 4%", "Golden", and "Occident Flour". Printed on verso: Griswold Street is named after one of Detroit's prominent pioneers, and has often been termed the city's Wall Street. A large number of Detroit's Banks, as well as other financial interests are centered here. It is the financial heart of the north and south, and is the first street west of Woodward Avenue. The scene here shows Capitol Square Park in the foreground with the Chamber of Commerce on the left and the Penobscot and Ford Buildings in the distance on the right. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 19, 1910.
