Taken during the dedication of the I-496 Crosstown Expressway, also known as the Oldsmobile Expressway or Olds Highway. This brand-new 1970 Oldsmobile Toronado led the opening of I-496 at a ceremony on Friday morning, December 18, 1970. View is of the westbound lanes at the bridge over Cedar Street and the Grand River.
