- Print containing six engravings, taken from the booklet, Souvenir of Detroit & Exposition, depicting locations in Detroit, spread across two leafs. A large image of City Hall is in the center, as viewed from Campus Martius, facing southwest. The McGraw Building behind it is partially visible. Michigan Central Station, identified here as the "M.C.R.R. Union Depot, on the southwest corner of Third Street and West Woodbridge Street is at the upper left in a rectangular frame. Below it, is the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument in Campus Martius, and the side of the Russell House in the background, framed in a circle. At the upper right, is another rectangular panel, this one depicting the pumping station and tower in Water Works Park. A circle bearing the image of a five story building with a dome-shaped tower, labeled "Y.M.C.A. Building Detroit." "Copyrighted 1887 by Ward Bros. Columbus O." printed in lower right corner.

Pages 152-153 features a composite of illustrations titled "Michigan. - Views In and About the City of Detroit and the City of Windsor, Canada." from sketches by C. Upham. The views featured include as follows: View of Detroit from Windsor ; "Ole Bone" Man ; City Hall ; Water Works and Stand Pipe ; Griswold Street ; Market House ; Grand Circus Park ; Custom House at Windsor Detecting a Smuggler ; View of Windsor ; Jars with Spawn Undergoing the Hatching Process ; Filling the Jars with Spawn ; White Fish Hatchery ; Interior of the Hatchery.

- Large black and white photographic print depicting City Hall decorated in mourning of President William McKinley following his assassination on September 14, 1901, as viewed from street level in Campus Martius facing west. A large painting of him has been hung above the building's doors, and large dark drapes are hung along the building's front. A horse-drawn carriage, several cyclists, and many pedestrians are in the foreground. Electric streetcar lines are suspended overhead. Peninsular Savings Bank is visible in the background down Fort Street.

- Colorized halftone print of a photograph depicting the west side of Campus Martius, as viewed from an elevated position, likely from the Pontchartrain Hotel. The primary copy has bolder colors and is mounted on beige cardstock. The secondary copy has lighter colors, and includes the title, "'The Heart of Detroit' - Reproduced from Photograph," as well as the notation, " Jos. Mack, Printer, Detroit." Both versions include captions below labeling the Post Office, City Hall, Pardridge and Blackwell in the Majestic Building, the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, Merrill Fountain, and the Opera House. A sign reading, "Welcome National Hay Association" is posted on the front of City Hall. The moonlight tower in front of City Hall on the corner of Woodward Avenue and Michigan Avenue is visible. Electric streetcars, horse-drawn carriages, and pedestrians are on the streets below. "1902-1903" handwritten on lower right corner of secondary copy, and "Fine Cigars and Tobacco, Confectionary, Soft Drinks, and School Supplies, Etc., 528 Dix Ave. Detroit, Mich." stamped on its verso.

- Two photographic prints mounted to opposite sides of the same oval-shaped board. Recto bears a sepia-toned photo of City Hall Market, an open-air marked filled with booths, horses, and carts set up behind the City Hall that was in service until 1872, in the present site of Cadillac Square. A sign for "Provisions" is visible along the storefronts on the left side of the picture. A man, three children, a dog, and a horse and a cart are in the middle ground. A woman with a parasol, and a fence or railing that reads, "Hanging 102" is in the foreground. Verso bears a hand-colorized portrait of a seated woman in a purple dress, with white sleeves and a collar. Her hair is pulled back into a chignon and she wears a cross around her neck.

- Small sepia-toned photographic print incorrectly captioned on verso as "Cadillac Square, looking west, March 10th, 1918" which in fact depicts a street-level westward view from Campus Martius down Michigan Avenue. Snow covers the ground. The low light from a sunset silhouettes both the figures in coats and hats which approach the camera and the Majestic Building on the right, as well as creates a flare effect in the center of the image. A large sign, the visible portion reading, "Join... for" is posted on the Majestic Building on the right edge of the frame. City Hall, and the Recreation Building are in the background.

- Half-tone print of an artistic rendition of a bird's-eye view of Detroit in 1908, and a black and white photographic print of it hung on a wood-paneled wall. The caption above the image reads, "Detroit 1908-Same Area As View Above." Below the image, "What Detroit has accomplished in the past, is the best evidence of its future prosperity" is printed. The pictured print depicts downtown Detroit, and areas to the west, rough from Fourth Street to Raynor Street, and State Street to the Detroit River. Visible landmarks include the Wayne County Building, Cadillac Square, Campus Martius, the Majestic Building, City Hall, the Pontchartrain Hotel, the Post Office at Fort and Shelby, and the Ford Building. Several steamships, including those of the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company, the COLUMBIA, and the LANSDOWNE are pictured at dock or under steam. - Mounted, sepia-toned photographic print entitled, "Old City Hall, A.D. 1868." Detroit's City Hall which stood at Campus Martius, on Michigan Grand Avenue (now Cadillac Square) is depicted as viewed from Campus Martius facing southeast. Several people stand in front of the building, while several other people sit in the shade on the building's north side. Stalls used for the Central or City Hall Market are visible behind the building. In the background, along Michigan Grand, signs are posted for U.S. Tobacco Works, R.G. Tyler Teas, National Bitter, H.H. Wallace, Ira Shade, Hiram Stanskil, and S.H. Davis and Company. The photo has a rounded top and is mounted to a piece of yellowed cardstock bearing the title and "J. Watson, Artist, Detroit" below.

- Black and white photo of City Hall and the Majestic Building as taken from a window of the Russell House to the southeast. Woodmere, Brush, and Woodward line streetcars are in Campus Martius, including cars 386 and 290. A horse-drawn cart carrying several large potted ferns is on Ford Street beside City Hall's lawn. Several horse-drawn carriages are on Woodward in front of City Hall. A man in a white suit picks up horse droppings in the intersection of Woodward and Ford using a large scoop and a shovel. A moonlight tower stands on the south corner of Woodward and Michigan Avenue. Signs for C.A. Shafer are posted on the side of the Majestic Building. A mimeographed caption is on the verso, along with an impression of a photo of William C. Maybury: This picture was taken in the central business portion of the city of Detroit from a window of a hotel known as the Russell House.. The hotel is situated on the South East corner of Woodward Avenue and Cadillac Square. The photograph is made from a negative taken in the fall of 1900 and is a fairly good representation of exterior photography, at this date. The photograph was made by C.M. Hayes and Co., a firm engaged in general photography.
