Description:
These are comfortable late 1920s-early 1930's pumps used for special occasions. They were surely made to match a specific outfit. Edward Cohen was one of Mrs. Firestone's preferred shoemakers in the late 1920s. Born in Decatur, Illinois in 1897 Elizabeth Parke married Harvey S. Firestone Jr., son of Firestone Tire and Rubber Company founder Harvey S. Firestone, in 1921.Once described by a friend as, "the most luxurious woman in the history of luxury," Elizabeth Parke Firestone's clothing collection illustrates her impeccable taste in fashion.

A pair of woman's high laced, white suede/buck sports shoes. Their tops are plain, and the shoes are embellished with a perforated strip design, and have leather soles, and low stacked leather heels. Description:
A pair of woman's silver leather pumps having a single strap that buttons across instep. The shoes have a brocade inset of gold and silver metallic threads. The white kid lining is labeled: Hanan & Son, New York.

Description:
These shoes were custom made to match a turquoise chiffon and satin evening gown (object number 89.492.559), made by Peggy Hoyt for Mrs. Firestone in May 1928. Woman's silver leather sandals with closed toe and heel, and open sides. The shoes have a strap buckle across the top. The leather is ridged and gives the effect of gathers across top of the front.
