Also affixed on the right side of his jacket is another badge which also reads, "206." Written on verso, "John Dally." The photo studio name is mostly torn off and is not readable, but likely read "F. Friend, 244 & 246 Woodward Ave., Detroit," matching others in this collection.

- Sepia-toned full-length portrait photograph of Captain Adolph Hoenighausen, a pipeman with Phoenix Company No. 3. He leans on a prop rock stand before a painted background of a lake surrounded by mountains and trees. "Capt. Adolph Hoenighausen taken 1876 as 'Minute Man,' pipeman 'Phoenix Steamer' Engine Co. No. 3," is handwritten beneath in green pen. The photo was previously housed in a grey J.W. Hughes display folder.

He has a beard and wears a kepi hat with three crossed bugles on its badge, with a double-breasted coat. The photo was previously housed in on the left side of a three-part cardstock frame with alongside a photo of James Battle, and another ranking firefighter. "October 1881," is handwritten on the verso.

Elliott and Mark H. Gascoigne, First Battalion Chief John Kendall, Second Battalion Chief James C. Broderick, Third Battalion Chief William J. Gowan, Superintendent of Horses Allan. Armstrong, and Master Mechanic Francis Beaufait, as well as a photo of Detroit Fire Department Headquarters on the northeast corner of Wayne Street and Larned Street. Images of several pieces of firefighting equipment for a design surrounding the portrait of Battle, and the left edge of the image. A.G. - Mounted sepia-toned group portrait photograph of twelve uniformed firefighters posed outside in front of a brick wall. Six men sit in chairs in the front, and six stand behind them. The fifth seated man from the left is identified as Engineer William Mauron[?]. Mauron and the two men to his left all have bugle insignia on their collars indicating their ranks. The photo is mounted on black mat board. "Geo. E. Ash, 452 Junction Ave." is printed on the verso.

- Sepia-toned gelatin silver photo showing the interior of the fire station of Engine Company No. 21 with nine firemen who are preparing to answer a call. Two firemen can be seen sliding down a pole on the left side of the photo while the other firemen are hitching the horses to the steam fire engine. A system of lines and pulleys can be seen on the ceiling of the station which is being used to lower the harnesses onto the horses. A firemen's belt with the number, "21," can be seen hanging from the driver's seat just above the left front wheel. The photo was taken at night so there is a fair amount of light reflection which tends to wash out the image. The mounting cardboard is printed in black ink at the top, "Taken At Night." The photographer's name is printed in black ink in the lower left corner: "J. Forster & Son, 178-180 Gratiot Ave., Detroit." The lower right corner is printed in black ink, "Headquarters for Flashlights."
