The Lansing City Directory lists Mintie (widow of Jesse B.) and her son Earl at that address, which was only about four blocks from the Lawrence home on Shiawassee. Note on sleeve: "No. 22. Mrs. Hamilton's Home (2.) June 20 '98. 11am. Snap Shot. Opr. Al."

- An unidentified man with a horse and carriage in the street in front of a home with a steeply pitched roof. The 1898 Lansing City Directory lists a number of Cadwells. Note on sleeve: "No. 45. July 30, 1898. 4 pm. Time 4 sec. Opr. Al."

- Note on sleeve: "No. 265-6. Mrs. Casterton's House. May 1902. 20 seconds Velox." The sleeve contains two negatives. The 1900 federal census lists an Arthur and Alice Casterton with a six-year-old son Harold and Alice's sister Ida Evans living in the Fourth Ward of Lansing. They do not appear in the Lansing 1900-1904 City Directories (published biannually then), but in the 1906 directory there is an Alice L. Casterton, widow of Arthur E., living at 736 West Shiawassee Street, just down the street from the Lawrence home. The boy on the porch is probably Harold Casterton.
