- Description:
- Abigail Rogers was a pioneer for the school. She and her sister Delia worked to achieve education for women. The school opened in 1855 originally in the State Capitol Building until the school was constructed in 1858. James Turner was also involved in securing funds for the school. Located at the future site of the School for the Blind at the head of West Grand River on North Pine Street. Three copies.

- Third Ward School was built on South Street in 1876. It was addded to in 1892 and was abandoned for school purposes in 1914. In 1963 it was being used by the Christman Construction Company as a store house. Originally part of the Carl Dalrymple Collection.

- In service as a school from 1913 to 2005. Two wings were added to the original 1913 structure in 1925. Photos b and d are dated May 1966. In photo c, the Tastee-Freeze, Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company, and Verne's Drugs can be seen. Six views.
