It includes the editorials, "Paregoric and the Congress of the United States," "'High Standards,'" "Assayed Drugs or Assayed Preparations," Occupations for Well Educated Pharmacists," "Professor Bastin--In Memoriam," "Think Twice," and "This Anti-Vivisection Rumpus." "Modern Methods of Testing Drugs," by Professor John M. Francis, "Notes on Indigo," by Norman S. Rudolf, and "Sketches," by Dan Van Den compose the original articles. The journal also contains the papers, "Changes in Crude Drugs," by Karl Dieterich, "Exempting Alcohol," by David A. Wells, "Practical Thoughts on Diet," by J. Hobart Eggbert, and "Micro-Organisms," by Gustaf Schack-Sommer. "Page #196," has been handwritten on the cover in pencil, referring to the page "Think Twice," and "This Anti-Vivisection Rumpus," appear.
