The 2 story nearly symmetrical pavilion is sheathed in warm travertine marble. The interior contains 2 levels of conference rooms that are arranged to either side of a sky lighted entry hall and lounge which has the feeling of a gothic cathedral. A triangular geometric motif forms a decorative pattern throughout. The metal pattern recalls an Asian models of architecture and landscape design.

- Description:
- Circa 1960s. Minoru Yamasaki and Associates. 1964. Image is of the Prentis and DeRoy Pavilion area with a portion of the moat. Several students are present in the image. Partnered with the DeRoy Auditorium, Yamasaki’s form-making derived much of its strength from the careful compositional massing of pure forms and pattern repetition of surface elements. Here, the composition of streetwall-gateway building and freestanding pavilion is perhaps a modern take on a medieval castle keep. The two buildings are linked by an underground passage. Powerful moves and timeless references create an overall effect nearly as compelling as Yamasaki’s McGregor Center nearby. The original name for the Prentis Building was University Hall. In 1965 the Board of Governors decided to change the name to Meyer and Anna Prentis Building because of Prentis’ effort in creating the School of Administration. Dated 1966.
