The photograph (right) shows our main office in downtown Lansing as it is today. The engraving (left) shows the same building in 1928. Bank of Lansing relocated its main office from North Lansing to this building in 1932."

- Photograph of the City Bookstore in Lansing, Michigan. Located on the southeast corner of Washington and Michigan avenues. Both buildings burned in 1871. Later this was the site of American State Savings Bank Building. Ted Foster used to stand in a wagon box in front of the second store and read the news from the Detroit papers which arrived by stagecoach between 4 and 5pm. via Jackson. Seven copies.
