- Sepia-toned photograph depicting the manufacture of the nearly completed "pattern" Eagle Boat at the Ford Highland Park Factory, viewed from above, looking bow to stern. Its mast and chart house are installed and its lifeboat rests on the floor off of its starboard side. This boat served as the pattern for other Eagle Boats manufactured at the Ford Rouge Complex. This boat, after completion, was then disassembled and each was part given a code number and then used as a template for the other Eagle Boats. - Sepia-toned photograph taken to document the effort to set a new record time for boat construction through the manufacture of Eagle Boat No. 59, within building "B" of the Ford River Rouge Factory Complex, as viewed from above the boat's stern. Workers prepare the framing for the decking. "59," is stenciled on the stern, and interior work lights are in use. The time of photo is 3:30 pm. - Color postcard depicting the interior of the Conservatory on Belle Isle, with a pond and many potted plants. Printed on verso: Horticultural Building, Belle Isle. Detroit's principal recreation spot is an island in the Detroit river connecting with the city by a bridge, 8 feet less than half a mile in length. It comprises 702 acres, is over two miles long and boasts over 20 miles of fine macadam roadway. A fine zoo, aquarium, horticultural building, swimming and skating pavilions, casino and boat livery are in connection. The city has expended over $1,500,000 on it since its purchase in 1879. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Jun 20, 1912.
