- One copy of a drawing entitled "Passenger & Freight Stmr., Hull #104, Type Sections" that shows a cross-section view of the hull and decks of the proposed steamship (originally the SS BAINBRIDGE and later the ALGOMAH II). This copy is a negative image of the original drawing with line work shown in white on a dark gray background. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing, Plan No. 1, was prepared by the "Rice Brothers Corporation, East Boothbay, Maine." It was drawn at a scale of 1/2 inch = 1 foot and is undated.

- Letter, with envelope, from William Duncan, chief engineer to Joseph Campau, dated April 9, 1851, inviting him to attend the fire department's annual inspection in front of Firemen's hall. Campau's address is handwritten on the envelope in French. Letter reads: "Sir, In behalf of our Fire Department I would respectfully tender you an invitation to be present at their annual inspection which takes place this afternoon at half past two o clock in front of the Firemen's Hall the Common Council and those of our citizens who intend to be present will meet in the Bidille[?] House trusting we shall have the honor of your presence. I remain Respectfully Yours William Duncan Chief Engineer

- Single-sided schedule showing days and times for exercises at the University of Michigan's College of Medicine and Surgery. The schedule is divided into sections for freshmen, juniors, and seniors, and courses are held Monday through Saturday from 9:30 to 5. The senior courses are pathologyand practice, obstetrics and gynaecology, surgery, ophthalmology, and surgical anatomy. Juniors take pathology and practice, descriptive anatomy, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, physiology, materia medica, chemistry, practical anatomy, and a chemical laboratory. The freshmen courses are descriptive anatomy, histology, physiology, sanitary science and physiological chemistry, materia medica, chemistry, practical anatomy, a chemical laboratory, and a histological laboratory. "Lippincott's Gazetteer of World," is handwritten at the top in pencil, along with some smaller text that is too faded to discern.

The bottom part of the paragraph is crossed out and reads, The oath herewith enclosed, will be filled up, subscribed, and returned. It is signed by the Ast.[?] Adjutant General. J.P. Garesche[?].

- One plan sheet entitled, "Propeller Wheels for Light House Tender, Sumac." The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows plan, profile, and cross-section views of the 7.5-foot diameter, 4-blade propeller. Tables beneath the drawings give design details and specifications. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing was prepared by "Manitowoc Ship Building Co." at a scale of 1 1/2 inch = 1 foot and is dated October 16, 1920. The drawing number is shown as "7143."
