Soda Fountain at 108 S. Ann Arbor Street. Hagen Hatchery Building, Alber Bakery and Hotel. Grossman Law Office. Photo shows soda fountain from early hotel in building.; This is the first soda fountain, which was converted from a beer tap from the hotel at the left. The hotel was converted into a bakery, confectionery store, and ice cream parlor by J. A. Alber about 1895.

Ice cream making machinery at rear of former Alber Bakery on S. Ann Arbor Street. Building was hotel, bakery, chicken hatchery (Hagens) and Grossman Law Office.; Around 1890. Lilian Alber was great granddaughter of John Frank, who started business and built building.
