- Certificate admitting Walter David Kring into the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine for North America on June 4th, 1920. The certificate reads as follows: "The Imperial Council of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine For North America To All True and Faithful Nobles of the Mystic Shrine: Know Ye that the Worthy Noble Walter David Kring who hath signed his Name in the margin hereof, was regularly Received, Admitted and Constituted A Noble of the Mystic Shrine in Moslem Temple of Detroit, Mich on the 4th day of June 1920, and that he is duly Enrolled as such upon the Records of the Order. In Testimony Whereof We have hereunto subscribed our Names, and affixed the Seal of The Imperial Council for North America." The names and signatures of Walter David Kring, the Imperial Recorder, Imperial Potentate, and Recorder are inscribed and a gold seal of the Moslem Temple is affixed at bottom.

- One certificate. The certificate is handwritten in black ink on heavy paper and was issued as a resolution by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the City of Detroit to commemorate the untimely death of "Robert W. Nash, Steersman of Hook and Ladder Company No. 1, who had been a valued member of this Department since March 8th 1880, died on Sunday Sept. 17th 1882." The certificate is dated "Sept. 18th 1882" and is signed at the bottom by "James E. Tryon, Secretary. R. W. Gillett, Jerome Croul, B. Vernor, Commissioners."

- Certificate, on board, from the Supreme Court of the State of Michigan, certifying Henry L. Lyster as an Attorney and Counselor at Law and a Solicitor and Counselor in Chancery in 1896. The text of the certificate reads as follows: "Supreme Court of the State of Michigan To all Persons Unto Whom these Presents shall come, Greeting: Be it Known, that as appears by the files and records of this Court Henry L. Lyster is an Attorney and Counsellor at Law, and Solicitor and Counsellor in Chancery, in this Court, and in all other Courts of law and equity in this State, duly licensed and allowed as such, on the 24th day of June 1896. In Testimony Whereof, the Chief Justice of said Court hath hereunto set his hand, and caused these presents to be attested by the Seal of said Court at the City of Lansing, this 25th day of June in the year One Thousand eight hundred and ninety six. Attest: Charles C. Hopkins Clerk. Charles D. Long Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Michigan." The certificate is signed by Charles C. Hopkins and Charles D. Long. The golden seal of the Supreme Court of Michigan is affixed to the bottom left.

- Certificate certifying Edward Edgar Hartwick as a Prince of the Royal Secret in the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, issued Decemebr 10, 1908. The text of the certificate is as follows: "For the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction of the United States of American sitting at its Grand East, Boston, Massachusetts. This is to certify that Brother Edward Edgar Hartwick who has signed his name in the margins hereof is a Prince of the Royal Secret, 32°, and as such is regularly affiliated in our Consistory in the Valley of Detroit in the State of Michigan and is hereby recommended to the protection and fraternal consideration of all members of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite throughout the world. Deus Meumque Jus." The certificate is signed on the bottom by four officers of the Rite, including the Commander-in-Chief and the Secretary. It is signed by Edward Edgar Hartwick on the left side. The certificate is embossed with the seal of the Michigan Sovereign Consistory on the top left.

- This 3-page certificate was typewritten in blue ink on slightly yellowed paper that lists the names of the writers whose letters were sealed in the century box (time capsule) at midnight on December 31, 1900. The subject for each writer is listed next to his/her name. The first page is printed with the letterhead of the Executive Office (Mayor's Office) at the top and the pages show a watermark that consists of a shield and crown emblem with the words, "Pure Linen Stock." The three pages are bound at the top with three brass grommets. On the last page, the certificate has been signed by the Mayor's Secretary, Clarence A. Cotton, and also sealed with a gold-colored embossed foil seal.
