- Car Report Envelope used by C.B. Bush and G.R. Casner, superintendent and train master of the Michigan Central Railroad's Jackson Junction. The recto, verso, and parts of the interior of the envelope are stamped with dates ranging from January 25, 1887 to June 15, 1893. "To be used for Car Reports only. R.R.B., Train Master's Office, Jackson Junction," is printed on the front of the envelope. A paper slip with a typewritten caption is attached to the bottom of the envelope, "Car report envelope used in early 1890's--C.B. Bush, Supt. G.R. Casner, Train Master."

- This slightly yellowed paper envelope contained a short note that was written by Herbert J. Greville who was the ex President of the Trades and Labor Council. The front of the envelope has a title that is handwritten in black ink, "Sentiment of Labor by Ex President of the Trades of [and] Labor Councle [Council], by Ex Pres. Greville." The return address, "Executive Office, Detroit, Mich., William C. Maybury, Mayor," is printed in black text in the upper left corner of the envelope.

- Hotel Pontchartrain envelope, covered with handwritten notes about William D. Purdy's raises and promotions between 1907 and 1901 while he was employed as the hotel's wine steward, assistant auditor, and storekeeper. The envelope was addressed to William D. Purdy, and postmarked July 29, 1907. The notes read: Wine Steward @ 60 per month with increase accepted Aug 1st 1907 Started to work Oct 1st raised $70 per mo. The back flap of the envelope is sealed with red wax that has been impressed with a square design that contains the intitials, "FCT."

- This slightly yellowed paper envelope contained a 12-page letter that was written by Mrs. John Vallée Moran (née Emma Etheridge). The front of the envelope is addressed "To Hon. Wm. C. Maybury, Mayor" and is entitled, "The American Mother in Detroit, from Mrs John V. Moran." The back flap of the envelope is sealed along its entire edge with an irregularly-shaped line of red wax.

- This yellowed paper envelope contained a 12-page letter and several clippings that were prepared by Bertram C. Whitney who was the manager of the Detroit Opera House. The envelope has no printing or handwriting on it. Most likely, it was placed inside of the larger envelope that is shown at 2001.061.180.
