The letterhead is printed in black script on white paper with a watermark that shows "Calvert Lith. Co., Detroit." The letter message is handwritten in black ink as follows: "Mssrs. Ruhle Brothers, Philadelphia. Dear Sirs. In reply to yours of the 6th. Your price is now so much in advance of other standard manufacturers that we felt obliged to place our orders elsewhere. Perhaps we may be able to do something with you at some future time, at present we are supplied. Yours truly, Baugh Steam Forge Co. Fil'd."
