- Frank tells of being hired in August 1969 and working in the cushion room. He recalls receiving a copy of the union contract on his first day, the 1970 strike for 30 and Out, living on strike pay of $25 a week, and performing picket duty. Frank tells how he became a substance abuse counselor for the GM/UAW Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) and how he has appreciated the union.

He calls on Congress to extend permanently the tax credits for businesses that hire veterans and to pass his Veterans Job Corps proposal. The President is introduced by first lady Michelle Obama speaking about the work she and Jill Biden are doing with veterans and how it has inspired them.

- Lois Kuen Johnson talks about her experiences serving overseas in the American Red Cross rest camps from February 1944 to November 1945. Johnson explains that she volunteered for the opportunity to travel and discusses her duties, housing conditions, her uniforms, being stationed in Italy, and serving coffee and pastries to the troops as they moved from Naples to the front. She describes helping an Italian non-combatant deliver a baby and an incident in which she spotted an enemy intelligence agent. She says that although she did adapt well to working and living overseas, she did sometimes feel lonely. Johnson is interviewed by Gudrun Bodgercln and June Stoltz.

Lytongpao discusses running a Hmong social service and cultural emissary non-profit, noting the ways Hmong culture has shifted as a result of diaspora. - Clayton tells of learning HVAC in the Navy and describes installing an HVAC system in Fisher. He describes the relationship between the VFW Post and Fisher, helping many of the Vets working at Fisher, selling chicken dinners to Fisher workers on Friday nights, and being frequented by workers for drinks before and after work. Clayton also performed work at the UAW Black Lake center and comments on the plane crash that killed the Reuthers.
