- Postcard featuring an aerial view of Oval Beach in Saugatuck, Michigan. The postcard depicts a series of parked cars in the parking lot, and while the beach has a smattering of individuals, it is not as busy as the number of cars would suggest. The back of the postcard bares no handwriting but does have the following typed in the upper lefthand corner: "Saugatuck, Michigan. The OVAL as seen from the air. Swimming, sunning, or just relaxing as its best on the sparkling, sandy beach of beautiful Lake Michigan."

- Paola Onesto was raised in Chicago. Her family was among the first to buy land and build lakeshore summer cottages in Saugatuck. Her family home was completed in 1921, and Paola recounts generations of family members spending their summers on the lakeshore.
