- Description:
- Twelve member graduating class of 1868. In 1932 James Howard McCotter was the only surviving member in the picture, he was 88 years old. James was the father of Howard K. McCotter and the grandfather of Lee N. McCotter. Both James and Harold went on to work as superintendents at the Ferry-Morse Seed Company's farm in Avon Township, Oakview. At the time this photo was taken, the school was known as the State Agricultural College and would later become Michigan State University. (P-14) [date is approximate] Photograph Collection

- Students pose for a picture in front of the Frank School, or Avon Township School District #3. The Frank School was used until 1926 when students were transferred to Brooklands School which was one-quarter mile west on the opposite side of the street.
